Killer Smile

Here is another Hunter x Hunter upload featuring the coolest, smartest and most gorgeous assassin of all, Killua Zoldyck! ♥

I screencapped this scene from the 1999 anime, during the Hunter Exam arc. This was a filler episode in between the 2nd and 3rd phase of the exam, and this was the episode when Anita (an anime-only character) was introduced and Killua's (and his family's) reputation as hired assassins were discovered by Gon and the others. While in the manga, Killua just told Gon that he is a former assassin then moved on, the 1999 anime expounded more on that. It's only realistic that someone with a grudge against the Zoldyck family would seek him or his family for revenge, and Anita embodied that. I also think it was a suitable reason for the ball game between Netero and the two boys instead of Netero being bored and happened to invite them for a game.

This was the first fanart I drew after my more-than-a-month-long hiatus so I just had to choose Killua as my subject. xD He looks just like a cold blooded killer here, but being the fangirl that I am, I am kinda wishing that if he were real, he would look at me that way. xD

I was quite worried at first that I might screw up drawing him because of the hiatus, but in the end I think he turned out well. even my sister was impressed on the outcome when I showed her the final product the following morning (I drew this the whole night). After drawing him I became excited to draw more, but I restrained myself since I also have some pending schoolwork to do. xD
